Rice bran oil is well known for its contents of antioxidant-rich components such as ferulic acid, gamma-oryzanol and phytic acid and has been used in the cosmetic industry and also in the management of skin diseases. Rice bran oil and rice bran extracts have been used in the free form and nanoencapsulated for protection against UVB-radiation injuries, for skin disease treatment.
Emollient oil extracted from rice bran, the outer coat of brown rice. Rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential oils, rice bran oil is also high in fatty acids and unsaponifiables.
